ARLUS

Arlus was a French lighting manufacturer from the 1950s. It became famous for its use of lacquered tubular metal and brass, which allowed for refined creations with distinct lines.
Their slogan was “Arlus, light decorator, creates, manufactures and sells directly, thus ensuring its models have an exclusive personal touch.”

Founded in 1946 in Paris by Louis Durot, Arlus became an iconic figure in mid-century French design. Arlus lighting fixtures were renowned for their elegance, functionality, and exceptional craftsmanship. The company produced a wide range of lighting fixtures, from floor lamps to wall sconces to chandeliers, often characterized by clean lines, organic shapes, and the innovative use of materials such as brass, metal, and glass.

Although the company ceased operations in the 1980s, Arlus lighting fixtures are still highly sought after by collectors and vintage design enthusiasts for their quality and distinctive character.
