Olivier MOURGUE

Olivier Mourgue, French designer, born in 1939, studied at the Boulle school before joining forces with the publisher Airborne.
It was with them that he developed his “Djinn” collection in 1963, which included a sofa, a pouf, a

steel, filled with polyurethane foam and covered with a removable cover. In 1966, he set up his workshop in the 9th arrondissement and collaborated with other publishers such as Disderot, Prisunic and Mobilier National. Ten years later, he moved his workshop to Brittany and became a professor at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Brest.
